This elegant holiday home is set in an elevated position in the coastal village of Morfa Bychan. The property sleeps four guests and suits couples and families with older children due to its steep position who are looking for a peaceful base from which to explore Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) and Wales’s west coast. You’ll find local shops and eateries in the village, and the bustling harbour town of Porthmadog is 2 miles away. After a day of adventure, relax in the pretty garden with a glass of wine and admire the stunning coastal views.

Enter the property into the hallway, where you can store your outdoor gear, before heading into the bright lounge/diner, which is dotted with houseplants and homely accessories. Spend time here, relaxing on the sofas in front of the Smart TV, or coming together for memorable mealtimes at the dining table. After dinner, wander through to the conservatory overlooking the garden to unwind with a book. The property has a separate kitchen, with everything needed for a self-catering break, and a stylish family bathroom. When it’s time for bed, retire to the inviting double or twin bedroom. The enclosed garden is a haven of tranquillity, with a sunny patio and furniture for al fresco dining, and a lush lawn surrounded by 3.5 acres of woodland. There is a handy shower, accessed from the garden, for freshening up after a day at the beach.

Head into Porthmadog to explore the great range of eateries, or take a ride on one of the town’s three narrow-gauge railways. The enchanting village of Portmeirion, with its impressive, Italianate-style architecture, makes a lovely day out and is just x miles away. For a day at the seaside, journey to Black Rock Sands, where you’ll find a 2-mile beach backed by dunes, and spectacular views of the Eryri mountains.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double and 1 twin
  • 2 bathrooms – 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC and 1 shower room with shower and WC accessed from the garden
  • Electric oven and hob, microwave , dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and washing machine
  • Smart TV in the lounge
  • Paved patio with garden furniture and charcoal BBQ, lawn and dense woodland surrounding. There is also a retractable clothes line.

A comfortable, spacious and very well-equipped cottage with lots of outdoor and indoor space. We had glorious weather during our stay, so enjoyed exploring the Llyn peninsula, the mountains (Yr Wyddfa from Rhydd Ddu was a great day out) as well as the local beach and Portmeirion. Cars can drive onto the local beach (Black Rock Sands at Morfa BychanRead more), leading to long queues to access it on sunny holidays. Porthmadog is a pleasant, bustling town a couple of miles away with some great shops. Hide

A well located and equipped holiday house for accessing beaches and mountains, and easily accessible walk to local facilities and coves. We enjoyed the big sea and hill views across the bay from the terrace while relaxing after a busy day. The house is comfortable and well equipped and also tucked away from the busyness of the local area.

Cottage is in a lovely location with amazing views across the golf course and Morfa Bychan to the sea. Living areas and kitchen very comfortable. Bedrooms quite small and basic, fair walk from main bedroom to bathroom for older guests. The second external shower room is very basic, though that is as described.
