The minute you step through the door of Dan-y-Alt, you know that you have hit a jackpot. In an excellent location for a variety of very scenic walks from the door as well as cycle routes (we have e-bikes which were useful on the steepest hills). The weather was very sunny (although not yet heatwave) and in the afternoons we were able to sit very Read morecomfortably in some shade either on the verandah or beneath the trees where it was breezier. We know the general area quite well from previous visits so were pleasantly surprised that we didnt run out of things to do and in fact scarcely used the car, just to drive a shortish distance to a couple of restaurants (both very good) and to the start of a walk. The bungalow itself is very welcoming, clean and comfortable with superb views from virtually every room. (There is a light sensor in the hall to help with any bathroom trips at night, which could be an issue for some. We are both now light sleepers but managed to get off again.) We would have no hesitation in returning. Hide

Dan Y Allt is a great place to stay, clean modern accommodation, newly decorated and comfortably furnished. The views of the Brecon Beacons are fabulous. It had a great secure garden for Gemma, our dog, with terrace and outdoor seating. The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped. Although the property has a washing machine anRead mored laundry liquid was provided there was no means to drying the clothes (inside or out) but we found that Beacons Laundry in Brecon do service washes. Sarah, the owner, was lovely along with her 4 dogs, and couldnt have been more helpful. The freshly arranged flowers and welcome pack was really appreciated. We wish Sarah every success as this is a new holiday let. Hide
