What a blast! This is such a beautiful, characterful cottage. Kitchen was surprisingly well equipped for a holiday let, we were able to knock out a basic but very respectable roast dinner for Easter while we were here. Really well located for lots of forest walks and the fully enclosed field across the road was also very helpful for the more activeRead more dog in our party. Dog owners be aware that sheep can roam freely around these parts, it was lovely to see them meandering down the street. Nights were pretty quiet and peaceful and felt very cosy with the log burner on. Wifi is ok but copes best with basic browsing and checking emails, I'd recommend having a data plan and using a hotspot if you want to do any streaming, etc. or just spending some quality time together offline! The dining room table was an excellent spot for the board games we brought with us. Overall, lots of fun was had. :) Hide

What an incredible property! Modern where you need it to be but keeping all the historical charm. The log burner is great with plenty of wood provided, although we hardly needed it as the property is lovely and warm. (Visited in February)

We had a lovely stay. Such a beautiful cottage with lovely decorations throughout. The location is great, there is a Coop a short walk away which has everything you could need. The garden is a great addition. Our favourite thing was having a fire each night in the sitting room. Highly recommend and we will certainly be back again.

Lovely old cottage. Bit misleading with the outside photo, you think you are in the whole house but it is in fact split. The garden was a bit neglected. Just needed a tidy up and cut the grass.

This is a beautiful house in a lovely setting, my friends and I enjoyed the spacious kitchen and bedrooms and our dog loved the garden and the dog exercise field! Please note that the larger part of the garden isn't secure for dogs, just the front part. There is a busy road in front of the property and the property was missing a few details like coRead moretton sheets, fluffy towels, light shades and a dishwasher. Hide

Had a fabulous week, the house is so lovely and nice to see that its age has been embraced and not totally ruined like many have. Dog exercise field is an excellent feature and secure front garden very useful. Cannot wait to come again.

Welcoming farm house cottage, lots of original features and charm. We loved the wood burner on chilly evenings, and the kitchen is well equipped, although no dishwasher. Great location, within easy reach of Forest of Dean and the beautiful Wye Valley.
