We spent three days kayaking up stream and were amazed at the beautiful landscape and wildlife around the whole area. The visiting Canadian canoe crews brought excitement to the campsite and were a pleasure to share the site with. Moving kayaks up and down the bank was made easy with the ladder and steps down to the waters edge. Bring a 12mm rope aRead mores a painter to lower and raise your kayak. We had a really lovely stay at the outhouse for our babymoon. The hosts were very friendly and the campsite location itself is fantastic. We hired a canoe onsite (40 for 2 hours) and really enjoyed paddling up the river in the sunshine. As mentioned in some other reviews the staircase is very narrow and steep, so we didn't find this dog friendly, sRead moreimilarly, the garden is not enclosed/ fully fenced in so dogs need to be on a lead at all times. AC unit was a godsend but no tea/coffee available. Hide

Lovely little barn conversion right on the River Wye set in a picturesque location. Unfortunately the river was too wild to get out on, but in better conditions it is a great place to launch from with canoe hire facilities on site. The kitchen does not have a microwave (just a heads up), but it did not affect my stay as I planned meals accordingly.Read more The location is lovely with easy access into Hereford or over the border into Wales, with lots of quaint villages and great country pubs.
