Upstairs, the king-size and double bedrooms, both with large skylights in their sloping ceilings, each have their own en-suite shower room. The cottage is located on the owner’s smallholding among 10 acres of grazing land, and from its door you can head straight onto the heathland plateau of the Long Mynd, with its gorgeous scenery and opportunities for walking, running and cycling. For a change of scene head to Stokesay Castle, 15 miles, England’s best-preserved fortified medieval manor house, or the delightful market town of Ludlow, 23 miles.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Perfect for switching off. Pub 1.5 miles away and very nice. Some lovely walking straight from the cottage. Perfect for dogs with enclosed garden and lovely walks through the fields. Visited Ludlow (40 mins) and Ironbridge (50 mins) both lovely. Beautiful cottage with fantastic views. Clare and Adrian were very welcoming, and it's lovely to find somewhere that actually welcomes dogs rather than just tolerating them. There were lots of walks in the area, which were needed to burn off the calories from the delicious cake in the welcome pack.
