Beautiful cottage, super comfy for our week with the dog. Lots of thought in the set up and contents made it a great base. Location is amazing in a pretty village of Pennal, lots of walk opportunities outside the door! 10 mon from Machynlleth which is good and also has beautiful walks and cafes, book shops and bakery etc. 15 min from AberdoveRead morey a fantastic seaside, again walks, scenery and excellent for adventures. A cosy, comfortable cottage with parking, Paul ( owner)in contact to offer any assistance required( none was) , good central village location with a pub 100 yards up the road. Village on a main road so NOT up a single lane stressful track. Couldnt fault it. Definitely recommended.

This is a wonderful little cottage with exceptional catering for dog owners (just in case youve forgotten anything for your dog!). It was cosy and warm given we went in November. Close to fabulous beaches and dog walkswould stay again in a heart beat!

Cosy, quaint and well equipped. Carefully thought out to provide everything needed whilst staying. The village itself was extremely quiet, though the Local is obviously the hub and does serve very good food. Surrounding towns are easily accessible and were equally quiet due to the time of year visited. Lovely little traditional welsh cottage in a great location which suited us and the dogs perfectly. When we arrived there had been a mix up with the cleaning company but the owners were incredibly helpful and got it sorted very quickly while we nipped out for a quick walk and it didn't detract from our stay at all.

We had a fantastic time at Slate Cottage. We loved the private, enclosed rear garden where we were lucky enough to sit out most evenings, aided by the fire pit if necessary. When the weather wasnt as kind we snuggled up in the cozy lounge and watched films on the smart tv. The large comfy bed was ideal for getting a good nights sleep after all the Read morewalking. Cottage was just what you need for a break, lots of places to walk if that's your thing and some great roads (as before). you have an award winning pub on your door steep and the beach is only 10 to 15 mins drive away, the only minor grip is the road right outside the front door, traffic noise is the main issue, but after the 1st night we did not nRead moreotice it as much so was not a problem. Great cottage, clean, cosy and very welcoming. Shower was fab and the bed very comfortable. Well equipped with great outdoor area, private and fully enclosed for the dog. We put the candles provided out in the evening and it was very relaxing after great days at the beach or walking. Beach at Aberdefi approx 4 miles, brilliant for the dog. This is a lovely cottage in a good location. Very nicely furnished and with a comfortable bed which is so often not the case in holiday rentals. It has everything you might need. There is plenty to see and do . The hotel in the village serves excellent food and is within easy walking distance of the cottage. This is a great dog-friendly cottage in a lovely little village. The house is really well-equipped, and has a gorgeous and fully-enclosed sun trap of a garden, and a cosy log burner for autumn evenings. And absolutely perfect for getting to Aberdyfi. We really enjoyed it.

Slate Cottage was the perfect retreat for me and my two dogs. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, cosy, and well-equipped for an evening in cooking. Pennal is quiet, and wonderfully situated for days out walking without having to drive very far at all. For the dogs, the secure garden and quiet location was absolutely ideal and they enjoyed local wRead morealks, a trip to the incredible beach at Aberdyfi, and adventures in the hills. We recently stayed at Slate Cottage. It was a lovely cottage, very well equipped, and a great location, within walking distance of the local pub, which is well worth a visit. A great base for exploring the surrounding countryside and beaches. We would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Super little cottage, perfect for a couple and two dogs. Lovely location for long picturesque dog walks. Close to a fantastic dog walking beach too. Beautiful cottage and very dog friendly. Lots of lovely walks especially if youre into hiking. Will need a car to visit nearby towns for any shops but its only a 15 min drive away. Loved it.
