We had a really lovely peaceful stay at the cottage. The undercover garden area was brilliant in the heatwave we had whilst there and we spent the best part of the week sat outside. We walked from the house a couple of the days to explore the hills in front and behind the cottage, leaving the car behind. We drove up towards paincastle on the last dRead moreay and parked up on the access land moor area which saved us walking up the hill in 30 degrees! The surrounding area is really pretty and very quiet, we didnt see a soul on any of our walks. We visited Hay on Wye which was very pretty and also had a little explore round Builth wells and sampled fish and chips from the merrie fryer which was tasty! The cottage was really well equipped and we cooked our own meals most nights as sitting outside eating dinner was perfect. Id really recommend staying here, Roger the owner has really gone the extra to provide a home from home. Hide

The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. It is an old reconnovated cottage in a very quiet hamlet which suited us fine for walking and fishing in the trout river. There are sheep everywhere so it is difficult allowing your dog off the lead to exercise but it is Wales after all.
