This quirky house is full of charm, having been thoughtfully renovated retaining many of its original features such as exposed beams which date back to the mid-18th century. With a wood burner inside and outside in the walled garden, a couple's break here can be enjoyed at all times of the year for rest, relaxation and adventure. Situated just outside of Talgarth in the Brecon Beacons National Park, rest assured that you’ll have plenty to see and do during your stay, with the Pwll y Wrach Nature Reserve just half a mile away one of the many picturesque places you can walk to from your doorstep.

At the heart of the home is the traditionally styled living room with a grand feature fireplace housing a wood burner and a selection of antique pieces. Here, you can relax on the sofa with a good book, throwing the doors open in good weather to let the fresh air in. Next door, the kitchen/diner has the ‘wow’ factor with towering ceilings and a whole collection of the owner's artworks in a galley style. The double bedroom is decorated in cool tones to help you sink into a slumber, boasting a modern en-suite bathroom complete with a waterfall shower head. Outside, the private terrace is ideal for al fresco dining, whilst guests are welcome to explore the walled garden and all its magic.

Llangorse Lake (6 miles) is a fantastic place for lovers of outdoor activities, with the chance to hire kayaks, pedalos and paddle boards or ride horses and try your hand at fishing. Further afield, the literary town of Hay-on-Wye (9 miles) is well worth a visit to pursue the independent bookshops and indulge in tasty treats from the local cafes. We were immediately struck by the beautiful location and the gorgeous house...and that was even before we went inside! We were welcomed by the owners on arrival and we were struck by how truly welcoming and nice they were. Everything exceeded our hopes and expectations and we were absolutely delighted with it and were actually feeling sad to leave. The owners were lovely and we would go back again tomorrow. Very highly recommended. Hide

This is a beautiful, unique property, tastefully furnished and full of beautiful furniture and art.
