Lovely old house with beautiful views. However, the lounge sofas smelt badly of mildew, made my daughter and I sneeze constantly. They smelt too bad to sit comfortably on them. Only one sofa in second lounge, a big wooden box took up space where a second sofa could have been. Only one wardrobe in main bedroom, full of old dressing gowns on one siRead morede. No welcome pack of milk and tea, needed after a long journey to get there. Cooker wasn't very clean and no washing machine. Hide

Very steep stairs, would suggest mentioning in cottage description as not suitable for elderly, also garden now a little overgrown (unlike photos!) and not especially suitable for small children. Lack of storage in bedrooms (especially third bedroom) so for any stay longer than one week would be an issue. Lack of guest book means no feedback/recommRead moreendations possible. Overall feeling is that cottage is a little tired and dated, although clean and warm, and great location for exploring the area. Hide

Stunning location, with marvellous views. Disappointed with house as damp and dated.

The location is very private with lovely views across the valley. It's very peaceful. Sadly, the cottage did not live up to our expectations. It's very dated and damp and we felt it wasn't good value for money.

Stayed with 3 children under 5 years. Garden was quite steep, but had lots of areas to explore. Kitchen was well supplied for cooking meals. Generously sized bedrooms, but dining room more of a squeeze. Would recommend for those with children aged 3+years.

Another wonderful, relaxing stay at this charming cottage in beautiful, peaceful countryside. Lovely runs and walks, time by the fire and a nice roast at the great local pub. Thank you.

A delightful cottage with breathtaking views of its beautiful setting. We were warm and comfortable and enjoyed great walks and runs in the forest. A bit of rainy weather was a great excuse to enjoy the lovely local pub too.

To summarise briefly this cottage and it's beautifully landscaped garden is STUNNING! We booked a 2 night stay and immediately wished we'd booked longer. The views are just breathtaking (we actually abandoned our plans of exploring the local area in favour of spending more time enjoying the cottage). The cottage itself is very well presented, I parRead moreticularly liked the various artwork on display and the little finishing touches about the place. A real gem.
