Set back off a peaceful country lane, this light-filled bungalow offers stylish and relaxing accommodation for families, friends and couples seeking a tranquil holiday bolthole in a serene part of the Herefordshire countryside. Offering cosy accommodation for up to six guests, the property is situated in a beautiful spot, midway between the Shropshire Hills and the Brecon Beacons. Enjoying stunning rural views and lying in the traditional hamlet of Kinnerton, this inviting retreat has been stylishly updated, tastefully decorated, and elegantly furnished, to make a fantastic base for walkers, nature lovers and cyclists.

Stepping inside this charming property, the main lounge/diner is an ideal space for sharing family feasts and sitting back to watch a movie on the Smart TV. The stylishly arranged kitchen has a central breakfast bar and leads through to a cosy snug with views towards Wimble Hill. Down the hallway, you will have a choice of three beautifully finished bedrooms: a lovely double, a pretty king-size room, and a cheery twin with a TV. The bungalow also has a refreshing family bathroom. Outside, the enclosed gardens feature a lawn and a patio area with a picnic table and BBQ, offering a fantastic spot to sit back and dine alfresco as you take in the wonderful far-reaching country landscapes surrounding the property.

Hay-on-Wye (18 miles) is to the south, known for its literature festival and numerous bookshops, and makes a fantastic base for walkers and hikers exploring the Brecon Beacons. Heading north, you can explore the stunning Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (9 miles). To the east, the friendly town of Presteigne (6.5 miles) sits on the Welsh/English border and is home to a classical music festival and the Judge’s Lodging Powys, with the Radnor Hills a mile further on.

Cottage was wonderful. Had everything we needed and the security of the garden fence all around was brilliant for our Westie. Beds were very comfortable and duvets really cosy. Great place, secure garden for the dog, shower is a bit snug with a step up but everything else is on one level, so quiet with a great view.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Wimble View. The friendly owner Richard checked in on us to see if we were ok and if we needed anything. The views from this bungalow are beautiful and I am already missing the sheep and birds. Like others have said it is quite remote so take some food with you may be for the first night and check availabRead moreility for the local pubs as they are not open every day. For dog owners the garden is fully secure which was very important to us. Hide

Secure garden for the dogs who really loved it. The garden is surrounded by dense leylandii (I think) hedging to about 4ft high and 3ft wide with a stock fence as further security. I guess a very athletic and determined dog might be able to get over, but it was perfect for our girls. We had a great week at wimble view. The bungalow was fully equipped for everything we needed. It was so cosy. It was a dream for our dog who loved the garden which was secure and fully enclosed and the owners kindly gave us permission to use there fields also to let him off securely for a good run. The views were beautiful. It was quite secluded whRead moreich we loved. Nearest shop about 15 mins away but no big deal. Enjoyed lovely days out to beautiful walks and especially the Elan valley. A wonderful stay at Wimble View - Richard checked that we were all ok and gave some great advice on walks (even the fields outside which were much appreciated by Finn, our working Cocker Spaniel).
