This delightful shepherd’s hut is nestled within the stunning countryside landscapes of the Wye Valley, with many outdoor pursuits at your disposal. If you’re looking for a romantic retreat for two with space for your precious pup, too, then this is the rural retreat for you!

Before opening up this bespoke hideaway, find yourselves captivated by the unspoiled views, where you can spot deer, geese, buzzards and red kites at a moment’s notice. Head inside to an open-plan layout comprising a cosy wood burner, a fully equipped kitchen with a Nespresso machine and a pillowy double bed that boasts glorious countryside views while enjoying breakfast in bed. Watch your favourite shows on the TV/DVD on chilly eveningsor take your glasses of bubbles out to the hammock to gaze at the blanket of stars. A contemporary shower room completes the property. Its power shower is fabulous for washing off muddy paws at the end of each day.

The small picturesque town of Usk (5 miles) is well worth a visit, with its charming old-fashioned buildings, a Norman castle, antique shops and some welcoming restaurants and pubs. Take in the sights and sounds of the many scenic landscapes and nature trails available from your doorstep, or venture over to Abergavenny (17 miles) for locally produced food, historic attractions and the incredible backdrop of the Black Mountains overlooking the town. Alternatively, have a game of 18 holes at Monmouthshire Golf Club (15 miles) or take a trip through time at Tintern Abbey (15 miles).

A lovely holiday, in a great little shepherd's hut, in a beautiful location. Hosts very welcoming and helpful - lots of local knowledge. Beautiful views from the doorstep, amazing sunrises and expansive starry skies. Great base for day trips around the local area. So much to see and do.
