As you step inside, you’ll notice the tall, wooden beamed ceiling which creates a spacious and airy feel within the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Natural light pours in through the floor-to-ceiling windows while contemporary floor lamps and hanging lights produce an ambient glow. The cosy lounge area offers comfortable sofa and armchair seating around the wood burner and coffee table. On the other side of the room is a neat ‘L’-shaped fitted kitchen with light cabinets and surface tops. Adjacent is a wooden dining table with rustic chairs. Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom, an en-suite double bedroom, and a twin room. On the mezzanine level is a king-size bedroom. Outside, you’ll find a lawned garden with a patio area, furniture and a hot tub.
Despite being in a rural setting in the Brecon Beacons, you’ll benefit from the convenience of Talybont-on-Usk’s village amenities – including a couple of pubs and a shop. Stroll along the River Caerfanell (less than 200 metres) and around the Talybont Reservoir (3.5 miles). Watch the cascading waterfalls of Baen-y-Glyn (7.5 miles) or take to the water by boat at Llangorse Lake (7 miles). Put on your hiking boots and explore the highest peaks of South Wales – such as Pen y Fan (15.5 miles).
