We had a fantastic stay. Perfect for my father-in-law and mother-in-law who are less mobile, so the downstairs shower room and bedroom is all on one level. My husband, sister-in-law and her partner and myself loved the walks around this outstanding beautiful area. Lovely property and very clean and tidy on arrival. Lots of hilly walks on the doorstep but beautiful views from the property. Crickhowell being a 10-15 minute drive away is very pretty little town and recommend eating at the bear hotel in Crickhowell. From Abergavenny you can get the train about 45 minutes to Cardiff. Sometimes offers on with the Read moretrains Abergavenny to Cardiff for 1! Steam train rides are also good on the brecon. Hide

Great cottage with amazing views. Really good showers! The only downside was the very narrow road leading to the property however this wouldn't put the driver of our party off coming back.

Black Mountain Retreat is an excellent place to stay. It is very well presented, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was amazing and the setting and views absolutely stunning. The hosts were also brilliant. The only down side was that we only stayed for two nights. Would 100% recommend this property.
