Perched at the end of a row of terraced cottages, this delightful property offers spectacular views over Aberdovey coast from the house and garden alike. Set above the railway line with perfect views of the beach, this superb cottage enjoys a little seclusion from the bustling town, yet is just minutes’ walk from the beach, shops and eateries. Offering ample accommodation for five guests and welcoming two canine companions, this charming abode is ideal for a family holiday or a getaway with friends.

This two-storey cottage has a warm, rustic aesthetic that proudly showcases its storied past, with thick stone walls and an ornate fireplace. Once used to house the staff of Penhelig Lodge, it’s been thoughtfully remodelled with comfortable furnishings accented by a subtle coastal theme for a warm and homely ambiance. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner wraps around the entrance porch to form the heart of this holiday home. Rustle up family favourites in the bright and colourful kitchen, then wine, dine and chat around the family dining table. With deep seating and majestic coastal views, the lounge is ideal for gathering to watch TV or just enjoying quality time together, multi-fuel burner keeping you warm and toasty. Make the most of warm weather and delightful views by sipping a glass of wine on your front patio, keeping an eye on dogs and children in the open front garden. Note that the rear garden with access to the shed and washing line is shared with your neighbours. When night falls, climb the stairs to get cosy under the covers – choose from a king-size, a twin and a single room. A family bathroom completes the accommodation.

Also known as Aberdyfi, Aberdovey offers fun for all the family. Enjoy lazy beach days on the golden sands, or take curious kids crabbing from the jetty. If you’re feeling active, there are a number of walking trails leading out from the village, or choose from a number of sea-related activities, such as fishing, sailing, paddleboarding or canoeing.

Cara Cottage had absolutely everything for us and our little dog. It was very well equipped, both in the kitchen and all rooms of the house. Very comfortable lounge and bedrooms. The view overlooking the estuary was a delight to wake up to each morning. Great communication with the host throughout.

Cora cottage has a prime position overlooking the estuary, close to the shops and beach. Aberdyfi is a charming village, even though dessicated by second homes and holiday lets. The cottage is nicely decorated and extremely well equipped. So far so good. But we had a significant problem with the heating. It came on for an hour or so in the morningsRead more, and that was it. If this was intentional then it was extraordinarily mean. But perhaps an error a boiler thermostat set far too low, I suspect. Hide

Very clean property and well equipped - good standard of beds - access is very steep but lovely views but note garden is not fully enclosed and could do with fencing where some of the garden meets a sheet drop below

A lovely cottage with the most amazing views; we loved laying in bed whilst watching the dawn. Beds and furniture all very comfy and had everything we needed in the kitchen (we prefer to cook rather than go out). Once we parked the car, we didn't use it at all for the duration of our stay but used trains & buses to get around.
