The location of the property is stunning and overall it was cosy comfortable. But the evidence of a big mould problem in the 2nd bedroom was very off putting and I felt was quite dangerous to me who suffers from asthma. The outside security light didn't work which makes it very difficult finding your way around when getting out of a car especially Read morefor the elderly. A nice bungalow with huge potential but needs a bit of tlc and the mould problem sorted. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you so much for your review and we are pleased you had a good stay at Amara. We are taking your comment relating to the mould issue really seriously and have alerted the owner to this and they will be attending to this quickly. Hide

Amara is a lovely bungalow in an exceptional location and Julie is a great host. Was so peaceful. On the downside, it was not particularly clean and the beautiful garden is neglected We had the hoover out at one point getting rid of some of the cobwebs. It's a real shame because as far as relaxation goes, we would score 10 out 10.

Amara is an excellently located bungalow with lovely views and a peaceful, not over tidy garden where we could always find shade/sun on comfortable outdoor seats. Quiet at night and we found the bed comfortable. Kitchen, not latest design, but has all you need. Walks/cycle rides from the door, or at a very short distance to small car parks. A lovely cosy, well equipped cottage with beautiful surroundings. We used the cottage as a base whilst exploring the Brecon Beacons and it was lovely to go back and relax there for the evenings. The cottage is a short drive from the town of Abergavenny which has everything you need, pubs. restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
