This delightful semi-detached cottage, set in the beautiful village of Glangrwyney, is ideal for couples, families or friends looking for an active holiday in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. You are well placed for visits to the historic town of Abergavenny (4 miles), full of shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafes.

Enter this characterful two-storey cottage, which offers a blend of old-world charm in its exposed beams and plenty of contemporary comforts that ensure a memorable stay. Pass through the handy boot room, where you can kick off your shoes and head into the open-plan kitchen with all the necessary appliances to make cooking hearty meals a breeze. There is a breakfast bar that leads through to the open-plan dining room and then into a gorgeous sunroom with doors out to the garden. Through an inner hallway and down one step is the cosy lounge, with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, and a warming wood burner for the cooler months. Upstairs, there is a bathroom and two bedrooms, one with a four-poster king-size bed and en-suite shower room and one twin. Head outside to enjoy the enclosed gardens with a patio area, a small stream, and a lawned space beyond. Children should be supervised due to the stream within the grounds.

Attractions in the area include the World Heritage Site of Blaenavon (7.5 miles), known for its industrial heritage and home to Blaenavon Iron Works, The Big Pit National Coal Museum, and a heritage railway. For a great day of indoor and outdoor activities, head to Llangorse Multi Activity Centre (11 miles). Nearby Crickhowell (1 mile) is a great base for walking, canoeing, cycling, or fishing. For keen hikers, the highest point in the National Park, Pen y Fan (19.5 miles), is waiting to be climbed.

Lovely cottage close to Crickhowell town and river Usk. Perfect central location for Brecon and canal/ river walks. Very comfortable with all of the amenities you could want

I give this cottage 5 stars. It is a delightful very comfortable & well equip cottage. Has off road parking, a small garden with a little brook running through it.

A beautiful property which felt immediately like a home rather than a holiday cottage. The settees were comfortable and supportive (this is one area where most holiday cottages fall short) and the king sized bed was also comfortable. The cottage was equipped with everything that you could possibly need and everything worked as it should. Only positive things to say as we enjoyed our stay in every way possible. Comfortable, clean, ideally situated in a lovely part of the country. Owners very pleasant and really helpful. Would recommend and intend visiting again in not too distant future.

Lovely cottage it was very clean and had everything that you needed the bed were really comfortable and a very nice welcome pack on arrival.The owner was very helpful with information which was good. It was lovely sitting in the sun room with the doors open listening to the stream trickling.There was good walks from the door and going into CrickhowRead moreell and walking from there I would recommend a walk by the canal it was wonderful. This is a lovely place. No problems. Just note the pub next door is no longer open to the public.We had looked forward to afternoons in the pub. The nearest pubs and shops are 2 miles away in Crickhowell

Lovely cottage, very dog friendly with footpath across the road. Lovely touch with the welcome pack, thank you. Good position for exploring this part of Wales. Great walks, Castles and UNESCO World Heritage sites just a short drive away. We were even fairly lucky with the weather. Nice Pub next door but sadly it was closed for our stay. This is a great cottage in a great location. Lots of walks of all levels in the vicinity from flat canal towpaths to hills like Table Mountain. 2 minute drive to the lovely town of Crickhowell or an easy walk.
