We had a wonderful Bank Holiday Weekend stay. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with everything we could need. The views of Skirrid from the window and patio were just stunning. We loved the quiet setting to sit in the mornings and evenings. The cottage is conveniently located, just 2 miles from Abergavenny for cute independent cafeRead mores and shops (Recommend The Angel Bakery and Madame Fromage). We packed a lot into our 4 day weekend thanks to fantastic weather - a day following the beautiful Waterfalls Trail ("The Great Big Waterfalls Walk" from one of the guidebooks provided in the cottage), a beach day at Rhossilli, the Hay-On-Wye Festival and finally the The Three Horseshoes loop walk in the Beacons. Could not have asked for more! Hide

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage. It was absolutely spotless! One of the cleanest places weve ever stayed in. The area is incredibly quiet and relaxing, with beautiful views over the mountains and the owners sheep grazing nearby, which made it feel really peaceful. The cottage itself was cosy, comfortable, and had everything we needed fRead moreor our stay. Theres also a great local pub, The Crown, just a short walk away, which was a real bonus. We wouldnt hesitate to stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside getaway. Hide

This was a special cottage in a wonderful peaceful setting within walking distance of a good pub restaurant and short drive into Abergavenny the local market town. The owners were very welcoming and supplied us with extras which were much appreciated. Definitely a cottage to return to.

We have 2 breaks a year with our dog in cottages. This by far is the best. Very spacious and clean. The most comfortable bed with good quality linen. Good shower with large bath towels. There is every piece of equipment needed in the kitchen. Also great to find things you only need a little of, eg. Salt & pepper, oil, tin foil, tomato & brown sauceRead more. Also had tea, coffee, milk & cookies there on arrival. Thank you Lyn. You are an amazing host. The Bear in Crickhowell does the best Sunday roast. Hide

A lovely cottage, really well set up with everything you need. It's in a great location for exploring the Black mountains and Brecon Beacons, so much to do if you like walking and getting back to nature. It's very quiet and peaceful - just the sound of owls hooting at night. Lovely views all around and from the window looking out to Skirrid. The beRead mored was very comfortable and good sized towels. Just a 5 minute walk to a great pub. We had a warm welcome and would definitely recommend this place. Hide
