Joy was extremely welcoming and was a first class host, even lighting the wood burner every day to welcome us back after walking in the rain. The accommodation was excellent and cosy.

The owner made us feel very welcome. The heaters supplied kept us warm and there were plenty of logs for the wood burner, so we never felt cold. It is a quirky cottage. Its not perfect but it was a good friendly base for a pleasant few days away.

Quiet location, large house, comfortable bed. No central heating (presume broken) small electric heaters not producing much heat, kitchen was freezing even when the heater was on! Wood burner but still needed to wrap up in the front room. Not enough hot water. 1st night temperature was dropping so owner needed to turn on a heater in the top floor oRead moref the property. This resulted in a cable being laid across landing into bedroom and turning on taps all night. Would not recommend. Needs investment.

Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your feedback. The owner is aware of the boiler issue affecting the central heating and this is being addressed as a priority; in the !SELECTED!meantime, logs, electric oil heaters and an immersion heater are available to ensure warmth and hot water, along with heated throws, hot water bottles and warm duvets for added comfort!ENDOFSELECTED!.
