Situated on the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park, this traditional farmhouse with wooden beamed ceilings and antique furnishings offers the perfect escape for a larger family or group of friends seeking a tranquil countryside getaway. Take your four-legged friends to sniff out the nearby hiking trails around the mountains, lakes and woodland surrounding the farmland.

Step inside and walk across the stone flooring in the bright and homely kitchen with wooden worktops on the ‘L’-shaped fitted unit. Cook a feast in the electric range oven and enjoy breakfast at the wooden dining table. For a more formal sit-down meal, gather in the dining room with cheerful yellow walls, a Welsh dresser and another wooden table. Continue into the cosy lounge with tones of grey and brown, where you can snuggle on the plump ‘L’-shaped sofa in front of the wood burner, which sits inside a large inglenook fireplace. Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom plus a convenient utility room with table football and an electronic dartboard. Upstairs, you’ll find a shower room, two double bedrooms, a bunk bedroom plus a twin. Dine alfresco in the enclosed garden with a chiminea, BBQ and furniture.

Set tails wagging on a trip to the RSPB Ynts-hir (9 miles), which is filled with Welsh Oak Woodland and salt marshes. Spend a day beside the sea at Tywyn Beach (11.5 miles) or discover the Dolgoch Waterfall (15.5 miles).
