Experience a memory-making retreat in the fabulous Mid-Wales countryside, staying in this handsome farmhouse overflowing with charm. This sympathetically modernised 17th-century house blends original features with contemporary home comforts, altogether creating a spectacular place for eight guests to enjoy a celebratory getaway or family holiday. It's a detached property surrounded by bucolic fields, towering trees, and rolling hills, allowing you to wake up each morning, breathe in the fresh air, and take in the uninterrupted views before setting off on your day's adventure.

Admire the whitewashed facade of this ancient house before making your way inside, where original beams, ornamental fireplaces, and stone-flagged flooring are found throughout its three storeys. The kitchen/diner is a perfect space for families to gather, whether over dinner or while packing a lunch and plotting a local walking route. Pick a book from the landing library to read curled up by the open fire in the lounge, or go upstairs where a second lounge features a Smart TV. Enjoy some friendly competition playing table football in the hall. Four bedrooms are spread over the ground and first floors, including three rooms tucked beneath the characterful sloping ceilings in the eaves. A bathroom with roll-top bath, and a contemporary shower room complete the interior. Outside, the enclosed garden has been furnished and equipped with a BBQ, allowing you to make the most of bright, sunny weather.

The delectable Tanat Valley stretches out in every direction from this property, offering endless trails and footpaths to explore, as well as hills, forests, and waterfalls to admire. End your excursion in the nearby village of Pen-y-Bont-Fawr (1.5 miles) at the local pub. Around 7 miles away, visit Lake Vyrnwy, a beautiful, tranquil body of water with wildlife-packed walks and a luxurious spa hotel offering restorative treatments (or two). A little further still, the Dyfnant Forest (10 miles) offers even more tracks and scenic landscapes to discover.
