Standing within 500 acres of majestic ancient woodlands and beautiful farmland, this unique 17th-century farmhouse makes a tranquil, secluded retreat for larger families and groups of friends seeking an idyllic rural getaway. Close to the north-eastern fringes of Snowdonia, the Grade II-listed property offers fabulous accommodation for up to ten guests discovering a breathtaking part of North Wales. This sympathetically updated house offers numerous period features including the historic gatehouse, oak panelling, plaster armorial shields, inglenook fireplaces, window seats, timber beams and the original beam-door-lock dating back to the 1600s.

The oak-panelled hallway leads into a pretty lounge with a stone fireplace and Smart TV, providing a wonderful space to unwind together. A step leads down from the slate-floored hallway into a bespoke galley-style kitchen then through to a handsome, atmospheric dining room with an open fire and welcoming dining table. The ground floor also features a beautiful bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath. On the first floor there’s a sumptuous bathroom and three gorgeous bedrooms featuring antique furniture, historic tapestries and oak panelling: a lovely double, an en-suite king-size room, and a super-king-size room with a four-poster bed and exposed beams. A steep, narrow cottage-style staircase leads up to the charming attic bedroom with twin beds. The final bedroom is a cosy twin with a feature fireplace and oak window seats, and can be found in the beautiful gatehouse, dating back to 1623, which lies at the end of the cobbled garden path. The walled garden has a delightful lawn, a BBQ area, firepit and outdoor furniture, perfect for dining alfresco.

The 500 acres of surrounding grounds feature a working sheep farm, Garn Prys Mountain, ancient woodlands and lakes to explore. Snowdonia is to the west (3 miles), perfect for exhilarating walks, water sports, fishing, mountain climbing and biking.
