This gorgeous property on the River Dee in the heart of Llangollen is perfect for a couple looking for a peaceful holiday. Llangollen boasts fabulous eateries, museums or rides on the horse-drawn canal boats and Llangollen Railway, the only standard gauge railway in North Wales. Llangollen is in the Clwydian Range & Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The historic house and garden at Plas Newydd is less than a mile from the apartment and Chirk Castle is less than 5 miles.

Enter this delightful apartment designed with contemporary comfort in mind. Step into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, and the creatively designed kitchen is on your left, ideal for rustling up a meal with local ingredients you purchase on your travels. Enjoy a romantic meal at the dining table while you plan your next adventure with books and maps provided. After a day out, come home to relax on the comfortable sofa, listen to music or watch a film on the Smart TV. When ready for bed, walk through to the lovely double bedroom. A shower room completes the features of this bright and airy riverside apartment. The enclosed garden is elevated, commanding fabulous riverside views with private steps and a gate down to the river path. Just 10 miles away is the palace at National Trust Erdigg, and the hilltop ruins of a 13th-century castle built on the site of an earlier Iron Age hillfort at Castell Dinas Bran is 1 mile away. Enjoy walks up to Vivod Mountain (4 miles away) or at Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall (19 miles). Offa’s Dyke and the Berwyn Mountains offer varied landscapes for keen hikers and are less than 20 miles away.

Nice an small but big enough for 2 adults and a dog - location was perfect, thats why we chose it. Meet on arrival which was nice .... Parking disc for local car parks was a nice touch.

This cozy apartment on the banks of the River Dee is the ideal base to explore Llangollen & the surrounding area. Just a very short walk to local amenities & car parks. The parking permit that comes with the apartment can be used in all council owned car parks across Denbighshire so saved a fortune! Settee I'm sure it lost its use as you sink right down..photos misleading.. I left on Monday morning 18th may..not happy with place..

We loved our holiday at The Nest. Short walk into town and enjoyed walks by the river. Loved sitting on the patio. Free Carpark ticket was a bonus. Kristin is a wonderful host and gave us lots of tips on where to visit.

Well situated flat right next to river and within close walking distance of town and supermarket. Basic level of accommodation and fittings - heating and macerator toilet are noisy. No interaction with owner. Very basic welcome pack, some of which out of date.

The Nest was very relaxing. Sitting outside on balcony with nice coffee in morning. So close to town and station over the road. Property definitely needs some tlc. But maybe if we go back next year you never know

The location of this flat is superb - right on the river with easy access to town and next to the riverside park. The flat itself is very compact but well thought-out, comfortable and it comes equipped with everything you need for a week's stay. The owners provide a parking permit but we did struggle to find a space in the nearest car park on severRead moreal occasions, however if the car park was full we always managed to park on Princess Street. A Denbighshire carpass is provided so you can park in a nearby car park and walk to flat on a level river walkway. If you have no mobility issues you can park in Princess Street but there are 19 steps to descend and approx 5-6 steps to ascend to get to the flat door. Firstly the location is superb. Coffee watching the river activity was great and all Llangollen is on hand. This is a small unit which is a bit awkward when cooking and has no laundry facilities. But there are plenty of good eateries about. Great riverside location. Short 5 minute walk into town. Car park was 300 Mts away and the Free parking pass was an added bonus. The host was lovely and on the end of the phone if required. All in all a great location and a good place to have as a base for exploring north wales.
