The cottage itselve is lovely although there were a few issues. The shower needs attention, wi fi did not wirk but accept that is a third party supplier, running out of oil resulting in no heat or hot water for one evening was just down to bad management.

Our stay was absolutely amazing and we could not fault it at all. The location was fantastic and completely out of the way, the emu gave added entertainment value and the cottage was incredible. This was a perfect getaway and we will most definitely visit again.

The most wonderful country cottage in a picture postcard setting. From start to finish, we felt comfortable and calmed by the beautiful surroundings and warm and cosy accommodation. Comfy beds, an idyllic view from the 2nd bedroom. Great kitchen and dining facilities. Sitting in the hot tub, watching red kites, emus, sheep and horses was such a fabRead moreulous experience, which we also enjoyed whilst walking around the owners farm land. Great comms with owner Sally, we would love to return, thank you! Hide

Beautiful place which can be functionally challenging to live in. Dirty cutlery, cupboards, pots and pans which had to be washed before use. Difficult to find kitchen items with no sense or order. Not enough cooking items, e.g. Pyrex cooking dishes, microwave bowls, knife set. Microwave and grill inefficient/useless. Bathrooms, bedrooms, communaRead morel areas clean (except floors); beds very comfortable. Welcome Pack detailed and with plenty of rules but not enough guidelines, e.g. Hot Tub.

Response from Holidaycottages.co.uk ~ Thank you for your feedback - the owners have been made aware of your comments and they have assured us that they have taken necessary steps to improve the cooking items.

There was a dirty oven tray in oven, dinner set chipped and dirty in cupboard, wasp nest outside very distressing and didn't go in hot tub, chairs outside were dirty and paint chipped. Bed covers were itchy of brushed cotton sheets, bath not inviting, wasp came into main bedroom so went into twin room. Headboard not fixed to bed and rip on divan beRead mored. This was our honeymoon so wanted to go for nice walks without taking the car but there were nowhere to walk so had to drive everywhere. Hide

It was perfect, the owners were lovely and it was just what we needed for three nights to escape the world surrounded by nature. We came away feeling well rested, refreshed and pampered- the hot tub was a welcome evening indulgence for the four of us. The kids loved seeing the emu that popped by to say hello. We'd certainly visit again. Many thanksRead more to the owners for everything. Hide

Amazing cottage, location, and support from the host. It had bags of character, combined with great fixtures, fittings, and amenities. The kids had an amazing time around the farm, and loved seeing all of the animals around the cottage (when they weren't having a blast in the hot tub). Loads to do in the local area (vintage railway trips, Powis CasRead moretle, Gregynog Hall, etc.), plus we took a quick trip to the beach in Aberystwyth which took less than an hour to get to. Hide
