This charming cottage is part of a row of similar properties less than 200 metres from the coast path where breathtaking walks can be had. Sleeping two in a comfortable king-size bed, this property is the perfect romantic bolthole to return to after enjoying some quality time out and about. Head down the coast path to Abereiddy’s stunning Blue Lagoon (2 miles), or stroll to the harbour (300 metres) for your morning walk.

As soon as you step into this property, you’re welcomed by its cool, neutral tones and carefully selected furniture. Snuggle up on the sofa in the lounge, warmed by the cosy electric fire, and watch TV together or read a book. Whip up delicious meals in the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner and eat at the table as you plan for tomorrow’s activities. If it’s a sunny evening, take your after-dinner tipple out to the front patio and take a seat, listening to the waves. The wet room with shower and WC completes the ground floor, while a ‘crog loft’ above the kitchen creates a mezzanine sleeping level with tonnes of character. Exposed beams and vaulted ceilings create low head height, but this king-size room is delightfully romantic.

If you’re a thrill seeker, you must visit the instructors at Celtic Quest Coasteering (3 miles) who will take you on adventures along the Pembrokeshire coast through rock hopping, scrambling and cliff jumping. For something a bit more sedate, hop on a wildlife adventure boat trip around the Ramsey Island RSPB nature reserve with Thousand Islands Expeditions (8 miles). If you prefer to enjoy the sea from land, there are plenty of beaches to choose from including Traeth Llyfn (1 mile) and Whitesands Bay (9 miles). Make sure you visit St Davids (8 miles), the UK’s smallest city, to see the cathedral and browse the independent shops.

  • 1 bedroom - king-size – restricted height (sofa bed in lounge for alternate sleeping)
  • 1 shower room
  • Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and washing machine
  • Roadside parking subject to availability
  • Harbour, pub, restaurant and beach within walking distance
  • TV in lounge
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00

Cozy and comfortable cottage, very well equipped and in a beautiful location. Idyllic retreat for the two of us. Thoroughly enjoyed The Sloop pub and The Fish Shed, wonderful food in both. Fantastic walks just outside the door. We will return hopefully!

A cosy, welcoming, well appointed cottage. Perfect for exploring the St David's peninsula and Northern Pembrokeshire, or simply for relaxing and enjoying Porthgain, the coast path, and a pint or two in The Sloop. The owners couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome (the bread, butter, milk, and tea waiting for us made for perfect post-arrivalRead more tea and toast!), and were friendly and helpful . The bedroom does have restricted headroom, but I'm 6' 3" and managed to avoid banging my head! Hide

A 175 year old workers cottage built for practicality so is very small, still very nice & ideally situated for walks around Porthgain & visiting the Sloop & The Shed. The bedroom has been built into the roof space so there really is little headroom, at 5' 4" even I banged my head but you get used to it. My only complaint, the bathroom is not very iRead morenviting, looks & feels dated, it is small but that wasn't an issue it could do with new tiling & the sofa isn't very comfy. The cottage had everything we needed. It was comfortable, warm and cozy. The location was perfect. A bistro and a great pub literally steps away from our front door. The Pembrokeshire coastline also passed within yards of the house. Literally perfection.

Such a lovely little village, and the cottage is perfect. Excellent facilities, it's got everything to make it cosy and comfortable. And there's a path just yards from the cottage leading up to the coast path on the cliffs.

A perfect cottage for two. Much bigger inside than it looks from the road. Very comfortable and well equipped with all you need. Only problem of which we were aware are the beams in the bedroom although ok if you take care. Great position on coastal path and for The Sloop and The Shed!!! A great place for a relaxing week away.
