Wendy was very friendly & kind, she left us a lovely welcome gift of Welsh cakes, Welsh milk and her own fresh (very tasty) eggs! The property has a large secure parking area nicely behind a gate to front of cottage. There is seating outside the front (bench) and rear (table & chairs) of property to enjoy the sunshine at different times of the Read moreday. Inside is lovely and spacious, nice and clean, very light and airy. It was lovely and cool inside during the super hot weather we had when we visited, mainly due to the property being old with thick walls, good insulation and small windows. Especially in the downstairs bedroom, it was cool, super peaceful and perfect for a great nights sleep. We had our dog with us, he was able to have a little off lead time to front of property but couldnt let him off in the rear as he would have escaped the mid height wall in pursuit of rabbits!! (Just our HPR dog breed, Im sure most other dogs would be fine) We found the stable doors to front and rear door of cottage an absolute dream, it meant we could vent the whole cottage whilst our dog was safe. Also worth noting this property is attached to the owners (not a problem as they are there if you should need help) and to the other side a rental cottage (plus another small rental cottage across the courtyard coming soon. This would be great if you want to book all cottages together for larger travelling groups. Although these additional properties werent an issue for us as our dog isnt reactive it just wasnt mentioned on the website when I booked. There is also a campsite on site which is super with a walk up to and round their own vineyard with spectacular views of the mountain ranges, it is just beautiful. Its a great base to explore the Isle of Anglesey, we drove the perimeter of the island on various trips out and also areas in the middle. Particular highlights: we enjoyed the two Anglesey Parkruns, Newborough beach & Llanddwyn tidal island, South Stack lighthouse (I love a lighthouse!), The Coppermines walk around Parys Mountain near Amlwch. Menai Bridge was another great place to visit (especially if you love bridges as much as I do!!) with a very tasty lunch at Dylans. Wendy has printed lots of walks in a folder which we would generally have done many if very hot weather hadnt prohibited this. All in all, a perfect week in your fabulous peaceful cottage. Thank you so much Wendy Hide

Internet reception was extremely flaky. Luckily for us the weather was good but (if on a 'hostile' day weather-wise) there was no dvd player or games, cards, dominoes etc which could have provided some entertainment given the poor quality of the wi-fi.
