Surrounded by 186 miles of windswept coastline, this homely and bright Pembrokeshire cottage is ideal for a family of four or a couple seeking a tranquil seaside getaway. After exploring the nearby castles and trying new watersports at a beach, return to your self-catering retreat for an evening dining alfresco in the lawned garden.

On entering the property, you’ll be met with a traditional cottage kitchen with neutral tones, wooden furnishings and sparkling, dark worktops on the fitted units. In the centre of the space is a round dining table for four. Unwind in the calming lounge with chandelier lighting, touches of pink throughout and two plump leather sofas where you can sit with your morning coffee while the breeze rolls in through the patio doors. Unpack your things in the comfortable twin room or king-size room, both with views of the greenery outside. There is also a walk-in shower with an accessibility chair. Access the garden through the patio doors to find a lawn with furniture.

During your stay on the outskirts of Pembroke, you’ll be within easy reach of the town centre pubs, shops and cafes (0.5 miles). Follow the Mill Pond Walk trail to the Statue of Henry 7th and visit the birthplace of this historical figure – the imposing Pembroke Castle (both 1 mile). For people with limited mobility this cottage is superb. But, ironically, if you do have limited mobility, there seemed to be limited places to visit. In summary an excellent cottage for the able bodied but, only because of the geographic location, I wouldn't recommend it for people with mobility problems.

Beautiful cottage with the home from home feeling, we loved listening to the birds from the 2 aviaries in the owners garden. Just a short walk to shops, pubs and restaurants.

Such a lovely lodge, very welcoming and cosy. Everything you could want and more. The owners lived in the adjoining property, but this was not an issue. They were friendly and approachable when and if needed. We would highly recommend this property.

The Lodge is well equipped, with good accessibility, a home from home! My mum was able to move around the place with her indoor wheeler with ease. It's a good location for exploring the wider area and only 10 minute walk into Pembroke high street. Facilities are good for wheelchairs in the area but you need to look and ask, everyone was really kindRead more and helpful. Would rent a beach chair next time to access the beach. Would definitely come again. Hide
