Bright open-plan interiors, a spacious enclosed garden and a coastal location in the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty make this cosy South Wales cottage ideal for a group of friends or family plus one canine companion seeking a wholesome getaway. Wake up to sea views and spend your time away exploring the nearby sandy beaches, nature walking trails and quaint towns.

Enter the detached property to find a welcoming wooden and yellow kitchen with a sizable ‘L’-shaped fitted unit with dark surface tops. Plenty of natural light pours through the wide over-sink window onto the dining area with a wooden table and seating for four. The main living space is a lounge/diner with glass patio doors, neutral tones and a wooden beam across the ceiling that divides the two areas. Gather at the wooden dining table with seating for six before snuggling up on the leather sofa or sinking into an armchair beside the wood burner-effect gas fire. Continue through the hallway to reach a twin room and a bathroom. Upstairs is a family shower room plus two bedrooms with sea views – a double and a twin. Outside, you’ll find a large, enclosed grassy garden with a patio, BBQ, furniture and storage space for bikes or surfboards.

While staying in the coastal village of Port Eynon in the Gower, you’ll have two eateries and a gin distillery (0.5 miles) to check out. Pack a picnic and head to the sandy dog-friendly Port Eynon Beach (0.5 miles) and sniff out the nearby historical landmarks like Port Eynon Salt House, Skysea and Culver Hole around Port Eynon Point (within 1 mile). Visit the expansive sandy shores of Rhossili Bay Beach (6 miles) and walk the Worms Head Causeway (6 miles).

This cottage is very warm, comfortable, quiet and cosy. It is well placed to visit many beautiful places and beaches. The garden is very secure so our Golden Retriever could wander to his leisure and watch the sheep in the bottom field. The owner was a lovely lady and made sure we had everything we needed. Spacious cottage in a very quiet location but only 10 minutes walk to the beach (great for swimming) and the local pub. Secure large garden which was much appreciated by our dog. A perfect base for exploring the Gower..

A comfortable week with the family and the dog. We all enjoyed the rear garden space which had a decent lawn area great for ball games. (Neighbour now has about four tennis balls and one cricket ball donated by our lack of control.) Garden at front of house needs attention as it masks the property. Tight turn in to parking area from lane. Need to eRead moreither reverse in or reverse out. No turning area. Disappointed in Port Eynon, but Oxwich , Rhossili, and the Gower in general are great areas. Hide

Well situated, spacious and very comfortable accommodation. Scrupulously clean and Mrs Jeffrey's, the owner, could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Highly recommend.

The location of this cottage on the Gower is absolute outstanding. Short walks to sandy beaches and great coastal walking. We took our Springer Spaniel and found the property spotless and garden very dog friendly. Some of the beaches have dog restrictions from May 1st until 30th September so do some research! A wonderful cottage in a superb location just 10 minutes walk from Port Eynon. The cottage was much bigger than we expected and offered everything we asked for and more. Tiller cottage was a lovely place to base ourselves for our family Christmas. The house was cosy and comfortable with lovely views towards the sea from upstairs. Being close to the beach and local pub was great and we managed a long walk on Rhossilli beach too. We go away with children and grandchildren for a week every Christmas and this year at TRead moreiller cottage ( and a second cottage close by) did not disappoint. Our host, Pat, was incredibly friendly and helpful- nothing was too much trouble. Hide

Just spent October half term in Tiller Cottage. Lovely bungalow, great garden and fantastic location. 2 nice pubs in the village. Just be aware that there is no village shop from the end of September and there is only one fish and chip shop open from October and it closes at 6. Google wasn't up to date!

Tillers Cottage is in a lovely location with easy access to all the highlights of the Gower Penninsular. We were really comfortable and had everything we needed. There is very limited mobile signal at the cottage (we are with EE and Vodafone) and the wifi connection was very patchy which was a minor frustration but good for a digital detox!
