The place hosts four guests, perfect for your small family getaway, and is pet-friendly with ample doggy essentials for use when visiting with man’s best friend. Spend your days getting stuck into hikes, mountain biking, hill walks and water sports excursions in the Ffrith Valley and amongst the Clwydian Hills or take things slower with trips to local towns including Wrexham (5 miles) and Mold (8.5 miles).

Discover modern interiors laid out on a single-story in this contemporary cottage. The kitchen/diner acts as a central hub of the family house, with plenty of worktop space to cook up something tasty using locally sourced goodies. Next door, the lounge invites you to warm up by the wood burner and spend an evening in front of the Smart TV. Once well-rested and ready for bed, two bedrooms can be found along the hallway. Completing the property’s offering is a generously spaced garden with both grass and a patio to enjoy. It’s furnished and offers a lockable shed for your outdoor gear and an outside tap for cleaning up when returning home from any adventure.

Make use of the complimentary parking pass at Coed Llandegla Forest’s OnePlanet Adventure and get stuck into mountain biking close to home (1.5 miles). Llandegla Fishery is also nearby (2.5 miles) for a slower day’s activities, as is the Minera Lead Mines and Country Park (2 miles) with 53 acres of nature-packed grassland and woodland. Admire the stunning scenery of the Plas Power Waterfall (2.5 miles) and the Nant-y-Frith Caves and Falls (1.5 miles) on an easy circular route, dropping into Bwlchgwyn (0.5 miles) afterwards for a hearty pub lunch.

Well equipped clean property in a lovely rural location but close enough to Coedpoeth with local food shops and petrol station. Plenty of room for parking. Friendly accommodating owners. Lots of local information provided.

Fabulous accomodation in a lovely area. Spotlessly clean and stylish, with a lovely seating area completely enclosed for our dog. Very friendly and thoughtfull hosts, whilst not being intrusive. Great welcome pack and local meat in the freezer to purchase. Loved it, would highly reccommend.

Beautiful cost and super clean, huge well equipped kitchen, warm and cosy, lovely comfy sofa and Netflix too. Modern bathroom and comfy bedrooms. Great parking an perfectly situated to explore. Lovely little garden which would be fab in the summer and was amazing for our little dog.

Cottage is fabulous and everything has been thought of, even milk, bread, some meat options and wood for the fire. The owners were lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. See you again next year x

We had a very relaxing and peaceful holiday. The property was very clean and well maintained, beds very comfy. The owners were very welcoming and approachable. Gave us lots of advice of places to visit but were never intrusive. Great area to visit, especially if you are National Trust members. The location of this retreat was excellent. I always check because I don't like to be too far into countryside that it takes ages to get out and wear and tear on car. It was peaceful and quiet. Lovely sheep and views were excellent. The retreat was very clean and so much was provided it made life easy. This is a very nice holiday cottage in a beautiful rural setting, with many sight and things to do just a short distance away. The owners Anna and Mark are very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely and pleasant holiday here.

We had a lovely stay in Cae Haidd. The property had everything you needed for a comfortable week's stay, with lots of little extras. It was incredibly peaceful, with just the sheep to see from our property, but only ten minutes drive to Wrexham for any amenities. There is so much to see and do nearby, we enjoyed visits to National Trust property ErRead moreddig, Chester zoo, the Fforest Coaster at Zipworld and the British Ironworks. Hide

We had a wonderful week at Cae Haidd. Our two boys loved visiting the animals each day and helping to feed the pigs was a treat. Great location with so much to do. Very comfortable and well equipped. We cant wait to come back next year!
