The studio property offers an additional king-size bed alongside a mini lounge, a kitchenette and an en-suite bathroom, perfect for teenagers or grandparents. The town itself is also home to a handful of museums, some independent shops and a weekly market, ideal when you need a day off all of the outdoor adventures. When walking’s back on the cards, cross over the border to reach the Shropshire Hills AONB (7.5 miles).

The description does not really do justice to this property which is the gate house to Cwm Weeg gardens, a private garden occasionally open to the public. It is an idyllic spot if you like to be in the middle of the countryside just amongst nature, experiencing peace and quiet. The owners live in the main house which itself is a design masterpiece.Read more A rather quirkily designed property with everything you need and in nice weather, a balcony to sit and listen to birds all day.
