This spacious period house is situated in an elevated position above the River Dee, allowing you to walk down a private path to the river. Escape to the Welsh countryside with friends or family and enjoy the roaring wood burner, private hot tub and stunning views at this charming home away from home.

Step into the open sunroom, where you can store your outdoor gear and enjoy the lovely view. There’s also a shower and washing machine in this area. Continuing through, you’ll find the bespoke kitchen, equipped with everything you need to prepare a family meal to be savoured in the dining room, which features a fireplace and a spacious dining table. After dinner, make your way to the lounge, where you can relax on comfortable sofas, watch the Smart TV, and enjoy the warmth of the wood burner for cosy nights in. Upstairs, you have a choice of four bedrooms, including a king-size bedroom with a feature fireplace, a twin bedroom, a double bedroom with a feature fireplace, and a bunk room with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed above. On this floor, you’ll also find a family bathroom and a separate WC. Outside, sip your morning coffee on the deck or descend the steps to the paved patio area, where you’ll find a table, chairs, and a BBQ. The wood-burning hot tub provides the perfect spot to unwind while watching the river flow beneath you. This property can be booked alongside ’Riverbank Cottage’ (90706), which is next door and can accommodate five guests.

The area offers an array of activities, including fishing, walking and cycling. The National Trust’s Chirk Castle is 8 miles away, while Llangollen (3.5 miles) provides a variety of pubs, restaurants, independent shops, and numerous attractions, such as the steam railway, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Plas Newydd, Valle Crucis Abbey, and Castell Dinas Bran.

It was a lovely cottage to spend time in. The view was great and we really enjoyed standing on the terrace looking at the river etc. All was comfortable with lovely comfy bed and nice and warm as required.

This cottage is perfect if you want the quiet country life. The constant sound of the water, the stunning views views which can all be enjoyed from the hot tub or the outdoors dinning space. Inside is beautifully kept and very clean. Cannot wait to stay here again

Had the most amazing few days stay at the cottage. Place had everything you need. Clean and tidy. Great location and the views are incredible. Lovely time spent in the hot tub. Helen was very nice and made your feel very welcome. Definitely would stay again

This is a superbly appointed quaint old cottage with wonderful views from a lovely patio. Lots of original features adds interest to anyones stay. We didnt use the hot-tub but if you like that kind of thing, it looked very nice indeed. Kitchen was well equipped and WIFI is strong. Beds were comfortable and we had no issues with any of the equipmentRead more in the house. Very quiet road so little traffic noise and I would recommend this cottage for a peaceful time. Hide

Cottage is amazing and host think of all essentials ready to make your stay amazing. It was lovely to have family time and spend time with grandchildren. Views are amazing and hot tub ready for when we arrived. Definitely a great place to stay, you will not be disappointed
