Treat yourselves to a stay at this splendid cottage in West Wales and experience the beauty of the countryside and the coast. Situated on a two-acre smallholding, the two-bedroom hideaway sleeps four guests and welcomes canine companions. Just over 1 mile from Aberaeron, and with its own garden and hot tub, it is the perfect place for a small family or two couples to unwind together after days on the beach and rural walks.

Make your way inside and head into the kitchen to put the kettle on to make a cup of tea to enjoy with the fresh Welsh cakes you have bought on your last excursion. Take two steps up to find yourselves in the gorgeous lounge/diner, where you can sit down to the delicious meals you have whipped up through in the kitchen. Relax in here afterwards together, perhaps in front of a good movie on the TV. At the end of each lovely day away, climb the stairs to the first floor to enjoy a great night’s sleep in either of the two king-size bedrooms. There is also a family bathroom at this level. Savour the opportunities for outdoor living provided by the delightful stone retreat. The shingle courtyard garden has ample space for basking in the sunshine, bubbling in the hot tub and gazing out across your beautiful surroundings as the BBQ heats up.

Head into Aberaeron to swim in the sea or hire canoes or paddle boards. Dine out and stock up on local produce while you are here. Pick up the Ceredigion Coast Path and strike out in either direction, looking for dolphins and porpoises in the water as you go. Visit the National Trust’s Georgian villa at Llanerchaeron, 1.5 miles from your base.

River Aeron Barn is perfect. It is its own standing property with barely anything else around. However not too rural, lovely town close by which is walkable. The property itself is cosy and comfortable. Also very clean. And the hot tub is a fabulous bonus! Hosts are also lovely and leave lovely treats for arrival. We have stayed here twice noRead morew, would definitely return again and recommend to anyone! Hide

We really enjoyed our time at the barn. The hot tub was lovely and the garden was secure for the dog, which meant we didnt have to worry. There was a nice large sofa and the place had an overall cosy feel. The owner, Barry, was very helpful and messaged to let us know when he would be checking the hot tub. We would definitely recommend it.

Took the grandchildren and dog for a week, we had a fantastic time making good memories, everything was perfect, the beds were so comfortable the kids didn't want to get up. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner Barry, the owner. We're planning on going back next year. I've already recommended the place to friends, I know they'd love it aswellRead more. Hide

Lovely little cottage, close to all amenities and beach, however currently the beach is having work done so is unaccessible. There are road works currently outside/behind the cottage, whilst it didn't disrupt our stay, may do in a few weeks. The hot tub was amazing and the host visits regularly to maintain it. Beautiful cottage which was well equipped, quite a home from home. The location was perfect with stunning views and not overlooked, it gave the impression of being quite secluded yet it was straight off the main road. Less than a 10 minute drive to the town and beach. Had a relaxing, peaceful break, just what I needed.

Overall an amazing stay in a cottage that was very comfortable, especially the beds. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. There was lots of information about surrounding places to visit which we found most helpful. The hot tub was amazing and we used it every evening. We will definitely be visiting again as we could easily stayed longer.

The cottage is lovely, clean, well equipped kitchen and lovely comfy beds. The hot tub is lovely and well maintained. It is remote, ideal for travelling to explore surrounding areas by car. There is not much security, and you are surrounded by woodland. The sofa is lovely and comfy, but not enough comfy seating for 4 people. The bathroom lets the pRead moreroperty down, with a wet room style shower, and 4 people in and out of the hot tub/shower, it doesnt dry out and smells damp. A good base to explore. Hide

A lovely cottage, near to both Aberaeron and New Quay which were great to visit. Lots of shops, cafes, pubs as well as boat trips from New Quay. The hot tub was a great addition along with the fire basket. Although the cottage is near Aberaeron you need to get the car out either to drive and then park up and walk along the other side of the river oRead morer drive into the town itself. This meant for a designated driver if evening pub trips are your thing. Hide
