This is a lovely, slightly quirky, cottage with everything we needed for a very comfortable and cosy short break. The garden is fully dog-proof so we could allow our dog free reign. At many other 'dog-friendly' properties we have visited, the garden was not so safe for the dog, and we had to keep him on a lead, so this was a welcome change. Very nice cozy cottage, quiet even though directly facing the road. Well located close to M4 and many nice beaches, venues, parks, and attractions, with shops nearby as well. It has all the facilities, and a nice outside sitting area and enclosed little grass patch, with offroad parking in front of the house. It's small, must right for two people (Read moreand two dogs) - many thanks we really enjoyed our stay. The beautiful sunshine we had helped as well :) Hide

A fabulous little cottage, in a great central location to visit Cardiff, Porthcawl, Gower Peninsula and Swansea, with all the home comforts you need .. including a lovely outdoor space to enjoy a glass of wine. The welcome gift of Welsh cakes and crumpets were absolutely lovely also the Sarn train station was a fabulous find for days out.

Rees Cottage was beautifully maintained, furnished and decorated throughout. It was really cosy and comfortable too, and it also had an outside seating area in the garden, which was lovely to sit out in and listen to the birds in the early morning. Loved the stable door too, as I kept the top half open most of the time we were there, for extra lighRead moret, and fresh air....especially if I was cooking. Lovely little cottage, really comfortable with everything needed for our break. Nice welcome tray and liked the basket of bits for the dogs. Not quite the village location we envisaged (ok should have checked Google maps) more like a small town. We like to eat out while away so disappointing that we had to travel to find nice places to eat. BeachesRead more near Porthcawl really lovely our dogs loved them. Best hint if using a satnav tell it to avoid motorways to find nice drives. Hide

Dispaointed that we didnt recieve a welcome hamper as detailed by many of the previous guests. I guess this was because we had only booked 3 nights. however, we paid the cost of a week if out of season, oh well!

Really enjoyed our stay and it turned out to be a good base for exploring the S,Wales coast and the Brecon Beacons. A highlight was a run out to see the Red Kite feeding station.Thirty or forty descended together .A spectacular sight. The weather was exceptionally good all week which always helps.
