We loved the location, very private. We paid to take our dog but to the extreme weather we left him at doggy day care..he would have enjoyed it though as the lodge was in a big garden. Good parking . We watched the wildlife..lots of birds and the squirrels crunching the nuts every morning. The lodge was clean and comfy and well equipped with evRead moreerything we needed. It was an ideal base to travel around and see the sights. There was a lovely pub down the road where we had lovely food. We would certainly book the lodge again. We also had perfect weather...so overall a lovely, relaxing holiday Hide

The cottage was nice and comfortable, beds and shower lovely. The problem was a lack of privacy as we didn't want to shut the curtains during the day. Disconcerting looking at dog walkers looking at us. If you are a doggy person the site is great if you are not the Mayfly lodge is probably not for you, one of the other ones on the site higher up maRead morey be better. The local pub is not really walkable to, down a busy road with no footpath. Hide

FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC Ok I got that out of my system This location is just Fantastic oops sorry it just slipped out. Quite peaceful location overlooking a large grass area with bird filled trees a large hill in the background making the veiw truly blissful With easy access from the main road and only a very short drive to ConwyRead more or head south on a pleasant easy drive to the mountains of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) this location is ideal for exploring. The lodge is a new one and quality is the key word here Access to front door is streight from your car (flat ground) NO steps making this great for people with mobility issues or like us who have an elderly dog that finds steps hard to climb. The veranda does have a single step down from the patio door in which i mean you just step down onto the veranda to the outside seating area there are also some wooden steps from the veranda to the grass area but access to the grass area is also from the front door and down a gentle slope by the side of the lodge. Inside we wanted for nothing lovely roomy space very strong wifi great comfy L shape sofa perfect for all not to soft and not to hard could sit there watching the birds for hours also easy to stand up from i have spinal arthritis so found this sofa perfect Great smart tv but the view through the patio doors outside will distract you from watching Eastenders best close the curtains and keep all that beauty outside. The bedrooms are spacious with the king-size having the ensuite The beds are fantastic oh sorry theres that word again but they just are and great nights sleep was had by all each night including the first when normaly you are getting used to a different bed. Ensuite and the other wc have in my humble opinion the best shower and super spacious cubicle going featuring a high overhead large fixed shower head and a hand held shower absolutely FANNNNNNNTASIC (In the advert at the time of our booking there was a small error stating an over head bath shower oh thats so yesterday lol) It was a great surprise to find these shower units with so much room we now want the same at home. This lodge is a no brainer stop looking elsewhere and book it now before sombody else. The owner knows quality and what a great peaceful place this is a true gem in North Wales 10/10 Hide
