Park up in one of the parking spaces and step into this charming property’s lounge. With wooden beams and a stone inglenook fireplace containing a wood burner, this is a cosy and characterful space to rest for an evening. The galley kitchen is fully equipped with everything the chef of the group will need for conjuring up culinary creations. A charming dining area contains another wood burner and an elegant table for formal mealtimes. There is also a handy utility room with laundry facilities. The first of the cottage’s four charming bedrooms is situated on the ground floor, too, a lovely double room with views across the Welsh countryside. Alongside this is a lovely, downstairs, shower room. The three further bedrooms are upstairs on the first floor, two more doubles, and a twin bedroom that make use of a stylish bathroom. Outside, the garden is a great spot for al fresco dining and drinks while admiring the vies, with plenty of seating and a BBQ.
The peaceful Welsh hamlet of Llanfihangel-y-pennant is set in a very remote area, with not many people around to disrupt your break. Head off on foot and bike and find the abundance of footpaths and cycle routes that wind through the spectacular southern fringes of Snowdonia right from the doorstep. Nearby attractions include the underground caverns of King Arthur’s Labyrinth (10 miles) and the picturesque Coed y Brenin Forest Park (21 miles). The lovely beachside town of Barmouth is only 24 miles away.
