Plan a seaside escape on the South Wales coast at this welcoming cottage in the lively village of Mumbles. It’s ideal for couples, friends or small families, placing you at the heart of one of the region’s most beloved destinations. Known as the gateway to the Gower Peninsula, Mumbles combines a traditional seaside atmosphere with independent shops, excellent seafood restaurants, a Victorian pier and much-loved ice cream parlours. Spend sunny afternoons strolling along Mumbles Beach (150 metres) or visit historic Oystermouth Castle (0.5 miles) for spectacular views across Swansea Bay. Keen walkers can join the South West Coast Path and follow the coastline around the headland, while the breathtaking Gower National Landscape awaits for further exploration. Local highlights include Oxwich’s picturesque village and beach (10.5 miles) and birdwatching at Whiteford National Nature Reserve (15.5 miles), while Swansea’s shops, attractions and waterfront are just 5 miles away.

On arrival, step inside and enter a welcoming hallway leading through to the cottage’s inviting living spaces. The gorgeous kitchen features wooden work surfaces and sleek sage green units. It’s well equipped for preparing everything from hearty breakfasts to evening meals, to be enjoyed in the lounge/diner. As evening falls, spark up the wood burner and settle in for a cosy night indoors. A separate WC completes the ground floor. Upstairs, the lofted hallway features a dedicated second seating area with its own smart TV, games and entertainment so that younger guests can spend time together. For sleeping, you’ll have a comfortable king-size bedroom and a twin decorated in soothing tones. Completing the interior is a family shower room with a large shower and WC.

Outside, you’ll have an enclosed gravelled courtyard area at the front of the property for enjoying morning coffee and evening drinks in the fresh coastal air. Garden furniture and a BBQ is provided, so you can dine alfresco, too. You’ll have private parking for one car so you can easily come and go throughout your stay.
