Tucked into the Mid Wales countryside near Machynlleth town, this stylish studio cabin makes a romantic base for two, where you can switch off among wooded hills and sweeping Dyfi Valley scenery. Head into Machynlleth (3.5 miles) for a frothy latte and slab of Welsh cake, before wandering around its popular Wednesday market and buying a bag of local treats to bring back for supper. Pick up the Dyfi Valley Way in the town, or spend hours following Glyndŵr’s Way, where open moorland reveals views towards Cader Idris. The pretty coastal villages of Aberdyfi (13 miles) and Ynys Las (14.5 miles) are both excellent options for a quiet beach day. The Wales Coast Path also runs parallel to these places, offering miles of undulating terrain and superb ocean views.
