This beautiful stone barn is situated in the grounds of the owner’s home in Llanegryn in the beautiful Dysynni Valley and is perfect for a couple or family looking for an idyllic rural retreat. The property boasts lovely views of Cader Idris and is an excellent base to explore Snowdonia and the coastline of the Llyn Peninsula. For water sports enthusiasts, Tywyn Beach is only 5 miles away.

This attractive cottage has a high ceiling and exposed beams bringing the character of this country-style single-storey cottage to life. Enter the open-plan living space with inviting and comfortable sofas to relax on, a TV for evening entertainment and a wood burner effect gas fire to complete cosy evenings together. The neat kitchen area has all you need to rustle up some delicious meals to share in the adjacent dining room. The cottage has two en-suite bedrooms – a twin with bath, shower and WC and a king with walk-in shower and WC. A pretty and private enclosed patio area lies to the rear of the cottage with garden furniture and a BBQ, perfect for a morning brew or dining alfresco on a fine evening.

The surrounding area has many cultural attractions, including Corris Craft Centre (15 miles), which has nine different craft workshops to discover. Head underground for storytelling adventures at King Arthur’s Labyrinth and experience the life of a Victorian slate miner at Corris Mine Explorers, both 15 miles away. For something different, hop on board the Talyllyn narrow gauge railway (4 miles) and enjoy a 2.5-hour ride with station stops, including the amazing Dolgoch falls. Water sports and golf are available at Tywyn and nearby Aberdyfi (8 miles), a beautiful old fishing village with a fabulous shop selling homemade ice cream.

Very comfortable and clean cottage. Great for bird watching in the enclosed rear garden, which was enjoyed by our dog too! Great restaurants nearby.

The cottage was very comfortable and lovely location ideal as a base or just to chill out for a few days in the lovely garden area at the back of cottage, very private . The beds were lovely and comfortable too.

If you have a dog that is triggered, maybe think of somewhere else as owner lives next door and there is too much coming and going of visitors. Its says a secure garden but if your dog is large it can scale the wall like ours did. Beautiful location. Just extremely quiet. It you want busy, book in Barmouth. Fantastic cottage and wonderful, friendly and helpful owner! We booked this last minute and we were so pleased we did. Lovely location with hills all around. It was very quiet which was what we wanted. Cottage was well equiped and had everything that we required. Owner was very approachable and explained all about The Cottage.
