A cosy cottage in idyllic rural surroundings is perfect for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists who want to explore the beautiful Mid Wales landscape. The pet-friendly holiday home sleeps six guests across three bedrooms and has lovely original features. The secluded cottage is moments from the long-distance Epynt Way footpath and cycle route, while the market town of Builth Wells, with its shops, and eateries, is within 6 miles.
The semi-detached retreat is spacious and full of character, with traditional latched wooden doors throughout. There are ceiling beams above comfortable seating in the lounge, where a magnificent stone fireplace houses a wood burner. The large kitchen has a country-style dining area, with a shower cubicle completing the ground-floor layout. Stairs from the lounge lead to three pretty bedrooms: two doubles and a twin. The master bedroom features ceiling beams and wooden furniture, while the remaining two have delightful sloping ceilings. Outside, a large, enclosed patio with garden furniture is a secluded spot to sit and enjoy the tranquil setting. Guests are welcome to explore the farm belonging to the adjacent farmhouse and there are lovely scenic walks along local footpaths.
The cottage is also within 275 metres of the Epynt Way, a 50-mile trail for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The route runs through moorland, mountains and river valleys, with stunning views along the way. Builth Wells has a regular country market offering fresh local produce, as well as a bustling arts centre with a cinema and theatre. You can also enjoy a walk along the River Wye, which runs close by. The National Cycling Museum in Llandrindod Wells (13.5 miles) is ideal for rainy day entertainment, with fun activities for children.
