This idyllic bolthole for two is nestled between the mountains of Eryri - Snowdonia and the spectacular Llyn Peninsula coastline. The property also sits within a delightful nature reserve, offering endless walking opportunities through woodland and open countryside, directly from the cottage. Nearby day trips include Criccieth, Porthmadog, and Abersoch (all within 15 miles).

The adorable single-storey cottage is full of character, with gorgeous original features, exposed wood and stonework, and sweet furniture that’s in keeping with the style of the property. You’ll be welcomed into an open-plan lounge/diner, where comfortable armchairs sit beside a cosy wood burner, and there’s a pretty dining table for sharing romantic dinners. The kitchen, with its oak beamed ceiling and vibrant tiles, has everything you need to create delicious dishes. The separate utility room has a washing machine and dryer. When it’s time to say goodnight, retire to the beautiful double bedroom. There is also a single bedroom, for alternative sleeping arrangements. A large bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, steps lead down to a pretty garden, with a lawn, fruit trees, and a patio area for al fresco dining.

The Victorian seaside town of Criccieth is 4.5 miles away and is known as the gateway to the Llyn Peninsula. The town has a stunning sandy beach with mountain views, and fascinating 13th-century castle ruins on its headland. From here, follow the Wales Coast Path past hidden coves and tranquil beaches, to the harbour town of Porthmadog (9 miles). The town is steeped in maritime history and has an excellent maritime museum, as well as many independent cafes, restaurants, and shops.

This was our second stay at Nythfa and Im sure we will be visiting again. The cottage is very clean, cosy and well equipped and the owners are friendly and welcoming. The area cannot be beaten for amazing views and long, sandy beaches.

This is a lovely cottage situated in an area of fantastic scenery and beautiful beaches. The property is spotlessly clean and very comfortable and has plenty of equipment for self catering. The owners are very friendly and helpful, recommending lovely places that we probably would not have found on our own. We enjoyed our stay so much that we immedRead moreiately went onto the website to look for dates for next year when we got home. Hide

The cottage was beautiful, cosy and very well equipped the only thing that let it down for us was the roads down to it. I know thats not your fault but would have been nice to have been made aware of.

The cottage was cosy with comfortable furniture and beds. The little garden was lovely and also the surrounding nature reserve. The owners were welcoming and helpful, greeting us on arrival and wishing us goodbye. This was lovely as you don't usually meet the owners.
