The cosy space is furnished with a two-seater sofa, an armchair and a warming wood burner set into an exposed stone feature fireplace creating a lovely environment in which to relax in the evenings. Outside is a pretty south-facing cottage garden with seating so that you can enjoy the peaceful location with privacy.
The local village of Montgomery can be found less than half a mile away, up a gentle hill and here, you’ll find a small selection of independent shops and eateries, including a Michelin-starred restaurant for a special treat. Take the opportunity to visit the ruins of Montgomery Castle, located high up on a hill which offers panoramic countryside views. Powis Castle and Garden is a fantastic National Trust property to visit at all times of year to see the changing seasons – the castle itself rises high above the 17th-century Italianate terraces and Edwardian formal garden, a beautiful sight to behold.
