Immerse yourself in rural Wales with a stay at this characterful renovated barn which retains many of its original features and is perfect for two. Walkers will be thrilled with the array of footpaths in the local area, including the much-loved Offa’s Dyke Path which follows the England-Wales border, passing a number of fascinating historic sites along the way.
Inside, the lounge has a traditional feel with painted exposed beams, an armchair and a two-seater sofa for comfort. Here, you can enjoy a good book, or pop a film on the TV for a cosy evening. The kitchen/diner has a charming farmhouse feel with wooden cabinets, a bookshelf filled with cookbooks and a large dining table where you’ll enjoy both cooking and eating together. The bedroom is rustically styled in fitting with the property’s past, featuring a king-size bed and plenty of storage for you to fully unpack. Finally, the bathroom has a shower over a Jacuzzi bath, the perfect place to unwind after a day out exploring. Outside, you’ll get the opportunity to enjoy access to the 44 acres of the owner’s private grounds, as well as a patio garden for al fresco dining.
Enjoy a vineyard visit to Kerry Vale (4 miles) for a romantic trip out for two, where you can enjoy a bite to eat and book in for a wine tour and tasting session. The Kerry Ridgeway and Severn footpaths are also accessible within a mile, as is the Roundton Hill Nature Reserve which is also a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. Stretching for 44 hectares, the summit is certainly worth a visit to see the marvellous panoramic countryside views, rare birds and diverse range of butterflies which can be found here during the summer months.
