This simple farmhouse offers rustic-style accommodation for a family or group wishing to escape to the Welsh countryside. It’s in a rural spot within 52 acres of grazing farmland, half a mile from the parish of Llanfaglan and 2.5 miles from the historic town of Caernarfon. You’ll have excellent view all around and top-notch walking opportunities right from your front door, including a walk through the owner’s land to a pebble beach. The cottage has space for five guests over three bedrooms, and two dogs are welcome to come and join in the fun.

With its white-painted exterior and traditional decor, this holiday home has a rustic feel to it, allowing you to step back in time. The lounge has a lovely beamed ceiling and a large fireplace housing a wood burner for keeping you all warm on chilly nights. In the farmhouse-style kitchen diner, cook up meals and prep sandwiches for tomorrow, and enjoy sea views from the dining area as you eat together. Outside, there’s an enclosed garden – safe for children and dogs to run around in – and there’s furniture and a BBQ on hand for making the most of milder weather.

The nearest pub and shop are 2.5 miles away in Caernarfon, where there’s a UNESCO Heritage Site castle you can visit. When you’re in the mood for a beach day, we recommend the beautiful pebble beach at Dinas Dinlle (5 miles) where you can also try out some water sports. If and satisfying hikes are more up your street, why not tackle the peaks of Yr wyddfa - Snowdon (17 miles) while you’re in the area?

We had a very warm welcome and spent a lovely time at the cottage with our two grand daughters and two dogs. The secure garden was essential for us. The views are stunning and we enjoyed the daily walks down to the beach along with the use of the next field. It's a typical warm rustic farmhouse and its location is perfect for trips onto Anglesey or Read moresouth towards Phwelli or even Barmouth. Hide

The location is wonderful: remote enough to enjoy the fantastic countryside but convenient to easily access the multitude of a tivities, sights and sites of the wider area. Sally and Louis, very welcoming, kind and available if needed. We had a fantastic 4 days here

The property is a very sweet old cottage, in a lovely location. It is dated, not on issue if the sun is shining and you are outside exploring. As we had lots of rain, and it was very cold, the log burner was glorious! The garden is great for dogs, although beware the planters in front of the wall as they can be used as a step up by larger dogs intoRead more the adjacent field which wasnt a problem as it was clear of livestock.
