Self-catering accommodation in Llandeilo

Llandeilo is a thriving market town with a mixture of Medieval, Georgian, Victorian, and Edwardian streets with many fine buildings of historic and architectural interest and an interesting range of small shops. There’s plenty to see and do in this well-loved town, making it a great base for a holiday in South Wales when staying in one of our holiday cottages in Llandeilo. One of the must-see attractions in the area is Dinefwr, a spectacular Welsh castle near the town on a ridge on the northern bank of the Tywi, with a steep drop of several hundred feet to the river. Dinefwr Park and Castle is an iconic place in the history of Wales, combining evidence of a dominant Roman presence with a spectacular 18th-century landscape. The 'hands-on' Newton House gives visitors an atmospheric circa 1912 experience and exhibitions on the first floor tell Dinefwr's story.

Other places of interest in the area include Talley Abbey, a former monastery 6 miles north of Llandeilo; Aberglasney House, set in the beautiful Tywi Valley to the west of Llandeilo; and Dryslwyn Castle, a little further west of Llandeilo. Being set to the west of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Llandeilo is also a great base for Brecon Beacons holidays and stays in Carmarthenshire too. Back in the town, whether you want to dine out or self-cater, Llandeilo has a wide range of shops and restaurants.

With so much to see and do, take a look at our range of Llandeilo accommodation to start planning your next holiday. Our range of places to stay in Llandeilo include couples’ cottages, family-friendly abodes, and large homes for big group get-togethers, as well as a range of dog-friendly cottages too!
