Broad Haven Cottages
This coastal village is in the south-east corner of St Bride's Bay on the west coast of Pembrokeshire, 5 miles from Haverfordwest- and has a population of over 1,300. Little is known of the origins of the village but it has been a seaside resort since the 1800s. It boasts a large Blue Flag beach that is popular with families and has surfing, windsurfing and sailing opportunities.
The large, west facing, open expanse of beach is hemmed in at each end by cliffs which attract geologists because of their unique features including a number of stacks, the most impressive of which is at the north end of the beach, with two arches through its base. The Coastal Path in either direction is fairly gentle and at low tide you can walk from Broad Haven along the beach to the quaint former fishing village of Little Haven.
