Some Wales Holidays self-catering visitors have special requirements regarding access to a property or the facilities needed within it. We have an excellent selection of cottages in North Wales, the Brecon Beacons and Elan Valley or Pembrokeshire and West Wales.
Access statements written by the property owners are on our website to help you choose the right place to meet your needs. For example, this cottage near Builth Wells has double and twin bedrooms and a spacious wet room fully equipped for disabled users. Converted from part of a C16th barn, most rooms are open to the roof space with exposed beams and the comfortable cottage is fronted by a level patio area.
And a lovely cottage near Dolgellau has three bedrooms (one of which is downstairs with an ensuite wet room). There’s a fully equipped kitchen with a slate floor and large living room with an oak floor, woodburner and French windows. Outside is a level patio with brick barbecue and delightful Snowdonia views. Large groups of friends or family gatherings could meet at this large dormer cottage near Llandrindod Wells. Sleeping up to 14 and facing south across its own stretch of the River Ithon, the cottage offers superb facilities for less able visitors and wheelchair users, with two large ground floor bedrooms and wet rooms, a spacious kitchen and huge living room with French doors out to the patio. No longer available :(
2015 Update: Carnedd Llywelyn is a stone farm building conversion located near Llanwrst within the Snowdonia National Park. This 5* cottage for 5 people features some low level kitchen worktops for wheelchair users, a downstairs double bedroom and a wet room with a wheel in shower and grab rails.
Or if you’re just two, this spacious and very comfortable cottage near Pembroke is a Grade II listed dairy loft next to the owner’s C17th farmhouse, 4 or 5 miles from beautiful beaches on the Pembrokeshire coast.
