June Events for North Wales cottages visitors to Anglesey, Snowdonia and the Vale of Clwyd
Wales Holidays self-catering cottage visitors to Snowdonia and North Wales can enjoy some interesting and exciting events over the next few weeks.
The Anglesey Walking and Outdoor Festival until 7 June offers guided historic, wildlife and natural environment walks. The best in local produce can be found at Anglesey Farmers Market at Menai Bridge on 15 June. For Wales Holidays visitors to Snowdonia and Lleyn, Trefriw Woollen Mill shows how raw wool is spun at a Handspinning Demonstration from 4 to 6 June. Llandudno Promenade provides the superb welcoming base for the Three Castles Welsh Classic Trial, a great classic car event from 5 to 8 June. And Bodelwyddan Castle hosts the BASC Annual Country Fair on 22 and 23 June, with countryside displays, exhibitions and a host of activities.
In southern Snowdonia, the Monteverdi Singers performs some of its extensive repertoire at Theatr Harlech on 8 June. And at Talyllyn Railway’s Victorian Train Experience on Thursdays, you’ll travel in original coaches, followed up by a cream tea back in Tywyn and tour of the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum. If you’re staying in the Llangollen and north-east Wales area, Bug hunting for beginners is a 2 mile walk around Loggerheads Country Park on 12 June, and on the 16th Loggerheads celebrates Wales Biodiversity Week with a Wildlife Fun Day. Experience Tudor Life at Chirk Castle on 15 and 16 June, trying on Tudor fashions and learning about the gruesome cures for common diseases! Head to RSPB Lake Vyrnwy Visitor Centre in the Bala and Lake Vyrnwy area for an Evening Walk on 28 June. The established Llanfyllin Music Festival begins that day and features the Allegri String Quartet and other musicians of international calibre.
