Superb new houses in North Wales

Our property recruiters are always on the lookout for great new properties and a couple of additions to our books that we were all excited about are up in North Wales on the Lleyn Peninsula. We love gathering around as photos are uploaded and for these there were quite a number of ooohhs and aahhhs as well as plenty of interior decoration envy!

The Boathouse (WAG516) is a stunning property for eight by the Glaslyn Estuary on the edge of the bustling town of Porthmadog which itself is on the western edge of the Snowdonia National Park. With plenty of floor to ceiling windows and a glass-fronted first floor balcony to make the most of idyllic views the position is perfect whether you want to get out in your boat, climb a mountain or simply relax in beautiful surroundings. Finished to an extremely high standard and with lots of nice little touches in the design (I always love a bath with a view!) The Boathouse will not disappoint.

Portmeirion, the ever-popular Italianate village attraction of pottery and The Prisoner fame, is just a short drive down the coast which also offers a number of award-winning beaches to choose from, magnificent historic castles and pretty villages. If you fancy being a little more adventurous Blaenau Ffestiniog, for Zip World Titan, Bounce Below and mountain biking, is only 15 minutes away.

Moving down onto the Lleyn Peninsula, Ysgubor Degwm (WAG517) is a different but no less special type of property. In a secluded position and full of character you can get away from it all while still being quite close to both Criccieth one way, overlooked by its headland castle and Pwllheli, famous for its marina as well as being the main market town on the Lleyn, the other.

Plenty of original features set off the contemporary country style and it’s not hard to imagine yourself enjoying a family meal around the large table then getting comfy before the woodburner in the spacious living room with timber-framed vaulted ceiling. With bedrooms in both the East and West wings and a master suite complete with its own kitchenette and living room, Ysgubor Degwm can sleep 10 people but is perfect for those who like their own space. The feeling of space extends to the extensive gardens which includes a tennis court and a covered, heated swimming pool!

Which one would be your favourite? Uninterrupted estuary view or heated swimming pool? Modern and sleek or country pad high style? Which one would be your favourite? They are both booking up fast for next year so you better get in there quick!
