Parc Newydd Cottages
This collection of 5 cottages near the small village of Llanerchymedd offers a superb environment for everyone; couples on romantic jaunts, nature-lovers who will appreciate the beauty of the onsite fishing lakes, and families who can make use of the extensive grounds and playing space. Owl Cottage and Bwthyn Gwyn sleep 4, Swallow cottage sleeps 3 and both The Barn and The Dairy sleep 2. This means that a group of 15 people could stay here whilst all maintaining some privacy. The cottages are tucked away in a very peaceful and tranquil part of the countryside, in the heart of the stunning island of Anglesey, with wonderful views, in an area rich in flora and fauna. Within the grounds is an on-site coarse fishing lake which has a decking area and cabin where you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere.
Central Anglesey is a land of rolling green fields, ancient churches, burial sites and sacred wells, of course you are never far away from the magnificent coastline with its stunning beaches and coastal paths. Moelfre, around 7 miles away, is a very pretty village with a rich maritime history and superb coastal walking, not forgetting a great café and pretty shops. Lligwy beach is a lovely sandy beach with a seasonal beach cafe. Nearby Benllech is more of a traditional seaside resort with a large sandy beach and its fair share of ice cream and fish and chip shops. The market town of Llangefni has a good range of shops and supermarkets and is home to Oriel Ynys Mon heritage centre and art gallery which includes a permanent exhibition by the late welsh artist Kyffin Williams, along with a lovely walk up the 'Dingle', on board walks which lead up to a reservoir.
The Anglesey Sea Zoo, the National Trust’s Plas Newydd house and gardens, Beaumaris castle and Gaol and Melyn Llynnon, where you can see a working windmill area all great places to visit.
For outdoor enthusiasts there are a network of cycle routes on Anglesey, kayak and canoe hire, horse riding, coasteering and climbing. The Snowdonia National Park is a short drive away.
