Work up an appetite before you visit with a walk or cycle ride – there are numerous trails from the doorstep. Alternatively, drive 20 miles west and you’ll reach the cathedral town of Brecon – the beating heart of the national park, it is famed for its Georgian architecture and waterside walks.
