While staying near the hamlet of Bettws, head to the peak of Sugar Loaf Mountain (5 miles), which sits at 596 metres, to soak up the panoramic views of the eastern Brecon Beacons National Park. Visit the picturesque town of Crickhowell (7 miles) and stroll along the River Usk before visiting the castle ruins and stopping at one of the country pubs.
